Brokenness in the Lord

I hope tonight you were challenged and encouraged through God's word. It has been rocking my world just thinking about being broken before God. So often that is the complete opposite of what we see in the church today. But truly it is the opposite that I feel most of the time. Mostly I want to run and hide with I screw up, but God wants us to draw close to Him in a state of brokenness. It is only through being broken before the Lord that we can begin to see revival in our hearts. My prayer tonight is for revival to begin in our youth ministry through brokenness. I would love to hear what you have to say on this topic and what it means to you. Leave a comment for all of us to read.

I know that this is super late, but I'm still going to post anyways !!!

O.k., brokenness before anyone is hard. We all have that pride spirit in us that we use to shelter ourselves from the hurt that we feel. As humans we never want people to see us hurt or vulnerable - it's human nature. But if I'm truly talking to God, then I will seriously burst out into tears about everything that's wrong in my life. Even typing this makes me think of all of the wrong, but it's so awesome to know that God sees the good in you, in me, and even in this messed up crazy world !!!

I really do pray that everyone can be broken before the Lord. It should be as simple as telling someone that 2+2=4. - thats how simple it should be people !!!
